How To Use
In the main page, in the top field, there will be three buttons. The first with a "house" symbol is to go to the main page
of the program and the other two buttons, is to choose the language: English or Portuguese.
In the main menu, there are three options:
→ Simulate: Where the simulation will start.
→ Credits: There will be information from the developers, professors and the institute.
→ Help: There will be a tutorial to use the simulator.
Connected devices:
There will be four devices that the user can choose: keyboard, mouse, printer and scanner. Your choices will influence
in the identification loops that will happen to recognize each one of them.
Booting devices:
This option is to choose which device will be used to boot the operational system. We have the CD-ROM, USB drive,
Hard Disk Drive and none. The last option will make the computer wait for some booting device to be connected, so it
can continue the boot.
In the simulation screen:
In the simulation, there will the a window in the top left corner, that will have pictures about the step in the
boot process, and under it an explanation window about each step from the algorithm.
In the right corner, there will be another window that will have the system boot algorithm.
In the lower left corner, there will be a window with the selected configuration, it will show the connected
devices and the booting devices.
In the simulation screen, there will be four buttons so the user can interact with the program:
→ Resize picture and the explanation: The user can resize the picture and the explanation of a certain action
of the boot process.
→ Restart: The user can restart the simulation, so it will go back to the first line of the algorithm.
→ Back and Next: The main buttons of the simulation, the user can use it to go to the next step or to the previous step.
