The Computer and Mathematical Sciences Institute (ICMC) from University of São Paulo is considered one of the most important training centers in math, computation and statistics of Brazil.

Besides the education, ICMC is also considered one of the biggest research centers, where groups receive support not only from development agencies, but also from international institutions.

Since the last semesters, due to a proposal of professor Paulo de Souza, graduation and postgraduate students have been developing several OERs (Open Educational Resource) in order to simplify the learning of subjects related to Operational Systems and to provide an accessible knowledge source to everyone.
